Mum was taken in by Pet Rescue UK because her owner was no longer able to care for her. We do not know how old Mum is but she isn't thought to be old so probably about 2 years old. Since being in foster care she has given birth to 8 babies. 5 of these are girls and are looking for homes as a group with Mum or in pairs or trios. The babies were born on July 26th so are very nearly ready to go to a new home.
They are all really friendly and will be wonderful pets. We will be truely sad to see them go but we will also be glad to see them in good homes.

A prospective owner will need to have owned degus before or be prepared to do the necessary research as they do have particular dietary requirements. A care sheet will be available when rehoming these degus.
These girls do not come with a cage as the cage they were surrendered in was not suitable for them. They will need a large all metal cage so that they can't chew through it! They are extremely active so will need lots of things to climb and jump on.
Before they go to any new home, Pet Rescue UK will organise a home visit and an adoption form will need to be signed.
There is a minimum donation fee required.
Pet Rescue UK does re-home throughout the UK if transport can be organised.
These degu are currently residing in West Wales with their foster carer.
