A massive rescue is currently taking place of approximately 150 degus. These poor babies were living in three cages and had bred out of all control. We are trying to get as many out as possible but space is incredibly limited. Many rescues are reluctant to take them in as they are hard to home and they take up a lot of space. As the sexes have been mixed all the girls will have to stay in rescue until we are sure they are not pregnant.
So we desperately need home offers for these guys. Boys, girls old, young, there's plenty of all sorts!
If you're not able to offer a permanent home but could perhaps foster some temporarily that would be a massive help too. Please contact me for more information on what this entails.
It is likely that some of these degus will be in poor condition and needing treatment so we really do need to get them out into rescue, foster or forever homes urgently.

Just to say that homing of these guys has gone pretty well but there are still quite a few looking for homes. I have up to date details of who is still looking on my webpage here
